One of my favorite artists in R&B is coming back with another album! For those of you who don't already know, Ne-Yo is gearing up for the release of his third album, currently with the working title "Year of The Gentleman." In case you missed it Ne-Yo told MTV News about the mind set he has been in for recording. Here's what he told MTV
"I'm trying to take it back to where you couldn't walk out of the house unless you looked your best,"
"Back in the day of, say, the Rat Pack and Nat King Cole, any picture you ever see, they're suited and everything is right from top to bottom. Not saying it has to be a suit, 'cause clothes don't make the man, it's the attitude and person. The music needs to personify that. A lot of this music [on the album], some of it is gonna be urban, some of it is gonna be pop. Some is gonna ride that middle.
The third [LP] is more of the good [music]," he added. "The second album proved I'm here to stay. I won a Grammy for that one. So, I'm here to win more Grammys. At the same time, I love what it is I do, so [this is] another excuse for me to pen more facets of my personality."
Ne-Yo continues to spread his wings musically with the first single from the project called "Closer" It is a fun mix of soul mixed with a very strong element of dance. I really enjoy this record, it seems as a writer and a producer that Ne-Yo continues to experiment musically and always taking R&B in new directions! While I am talking about Ne-Yo I have to mention that he had a hand in giving Rihanna yet another hit! The team behind Rihanna's past hit singles, "Unfaithful" and "Hate That I Love You" (Ne-Yo & Stargate) have written her brand new song "Take A Bow" as well. The song will be featured on the re-released version of Rihanna's Good Girl Gone Bad album and will serve as her next single.

If any of you happen to miss Mariah Carey on Oprah recently she premiered her second single from her brand new album "E=MC2." The song is a sweer slow jam called "Bye Bye". Its just what the doctor ordered for anyone who wishes they had that someone special in their life. This song has some very direct lyrics about her relationship with her father. If you did not get a chance to hear it check it out. "Bye Bye" along with the rest of her album "E=MC2" is in stores now!
